Lur

More electioneering!

Amazingly I have had only one person brave enough to knock on my door and it was a Lib Dem (I didn't answer but I did read his leaflet).

The Tv debates are about to start. The BBC has this to say about things that might make you suspicious: "One of the contenders could scratch their nose, look at their watch, sneer, sweat or blush in a way that makes them look aloof or unengaged."

Now, Ok, perhaps I'd be a bit leery of someone sneering. But scratching their nose? I know it's meant to be a sign of nervousness but what if he had a genuinely itchy nose? I don't think I'd base my vote solely on that. In fact, I'd be listening to what they were actually SAYING and how they were interacting with the others. Oh well. In fact I won't be doing any of those things since I don't have a TV that works at the moment and Hoshi isn't strong enough to pick up iplayer for that long but that's by the bye. ^^;

The BNP are at their typically ugliest. How low will they stoop? And you know what's depressing? The greater number of people you see flying English flags (always a trend I HATED. I know where I am, thank you very much), pro-English ads...and not that I'm anti-England per se and I appreciate that St George's Day is coming up but nonetheless I can't help but think there's some hideous BNP influence going on there. Maybe I'm just paranoid since they're so damnably VILE but still. I mean, the Nazis got in insidiously enough, yes? Ugh. And I know they're having some failures of late but they're also having some minor victories and ONE IS TOO DAMN MANY!

Wow. I wish I could do more to get rid of the BNP. *sigh*

Actually, as long as it isn't the BNP, I don't really care WHO gets in *dodges rocks*. Obviously I have a preference but it could always be worse. I don't care if it's hung. IN fact that might even be better, at least they'd have people to boucne ideas off of and argue with and everyone knows there's nothing a politican loves more than a good argument.

I've been told once or twice that I'm blowing the BNP issue rather out of proportion since there is no way they'll get anything very significant. But that's not the point: ANY victories are indelibly wrong and in fact, they shouldn't even BE there, spreading their hatred and stupidity. I cringe.
